AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal Facepieces
One Facepiece Platform, Multiple Protection Levels
The AV-3000 facepiece line shares the same Top Down Convertibility platform -- a single facepiece approved across supplied-air, air-purifying, and SCBA configurations. One facepiece, one fit test, across multiple protection levels. For departments managing respiratory protection across different units and applications, this compatibility reduces inventory, cuts redundant fit testing, and simplifies training.
The AV-3000 HT was designed to meet the needs of both structural firefighting and industrial SCBA users, providing enhanced thermal durability and voice intelligibility. It’s approved for use with 3M Scott Air-Pak SCBA models compliant to NFPA 1970, 2025 Edition and is backward compatible with Air-Pak models certified to prior editions of the NFPA 1981 standard.
The AV-3000 SureSeal covers the same broad range of applications with SureSeal technology for enhanced fit and comfort. It’s NIOSH approved with 3M Scott respirators including APR applications using 742, 40mm cartridges, and 3M cartridges and filters, as well as supplied-air and SCBA configurations. Users can choose among Kevlar, polyester, or rubber head harness options.
Ska-Pak™ AT Supplied Air Respirators
Supplied Air and Escape Capability for Confined Space and Hazmat Applications
Firefighters can be exposed to a multitude of respiratory hazards beyond the immediate fireground. The 3M Scott Ska-Pak AT is a supplied-air respirator with escape cylinder that has the added safety benefit of an automatic, hands-free air transfer capability to help reduce worker distress if primary air is interrupted.
If the user’s continuous primary air supply is interrupted, the air source is instantly switched to the portable air cylinder automatically. Upon transfer, the Vibralert tactile alarm end-of-service-time indicator activates, letting them know that the respirator has transferred to cylinder air and it’s time to leave the potentially hazardous environment.
Ska-Pak models use the AV-series facepiece platform, allowing departments already running AV-3000 facepieces to add a Ska-Pak without adding a new fit testing requirement.
