NMC’s traffic and parking signs provide safety and direction throughout your parking lots. The Federal Highway Administration requires roads on private property that are “Open to Public Travel” to use the same sign design, reflectivity, sizes as the highway signs. This includes roads within parking lot areas, airports, shopping centers and other similar facilities. Any road that is privately owned, where the public is allowed to travel without access restrictions including bike paths and recreational facilities, must use the highway sign standards. NMC’s traffic and parking signs comply with MTCD requirements.
