The Speedglas™ 9100X inside protection plate is designed to protect the inside surface of the filter from spark and spatter. Failure to use an inside protection plate with the filter voids the warranty if spark or spatter cause damage to the glass.
3M™ Speedglas™ Inner Protection Plates are replaceable spare parts for 3M™ Speedglas™ Welding Helmets and are designed to protect the welding filter. 3M™ Speedglas™ Inner Protection Plate is a spare part for the 3M™ Speedglas™ Welding Helmet that protects the welding lens from spark and welding spatter. Replace when 3M™ Speedglas™ Inner Protection Plate becomes damaged or too dirty to clean. Regularly clean with a lint-free tissue or cloth, for example the 3M™ Cleaning Wipe. For maximum safety and comfort, regularly check your equipment for worn or damaged parts.
