The flanges combine to create an excellent noise-blocking barrier, giving the earplug a NRR of 27 (the highest attenuation of any multiple-use earplugs). Unequaled Comfort: The flanges also serve to increase comfort. Many traditional earplugs give the user a "plugged up" feeling in the ear canal. But with Airsoft, the flanges create air pockets that reduce in-ear pressure to eliminate that feeling and promote long wearing comfort.
