The Starrett® English thickness gage is used in automotive in, aviation in, diesel and farm equipment manufacture and service and also in jig in, fixture in, gage and experimental work. Especially useful in adjusting tappets in, spark plugs in, distributor points in, checking bearing clearances and gear play in, fitting pistons in, rings and pins and gaging narrow slots. Made in a wide range of types and sizes in, each having from 6 up to 26 leaves ranging in thickness from 0.0015 - 0.200 in and 0.03 - 5 mm THK straight or tapered.
