|
Applications: |
The
primary use of Elkanite 20W3 is as facings and inserts for projection,
cross wire and flash butt welding electrodes and dies. It
can be used as a die for low pressure hot upsetting and hot rivetting
and is also a main spark erosion electrode material. Other applications
include backings for M.I.G. welding operations and as a heat sink where
good thermal co-efficiency of expansion properties are called for. |

Forms of Supply |
Produced
by the infiltration of copper into a tungsten matrix Elkanite 20W3 is
available in stock lengths of 8".
Larger bars can be made upon request.
Diameter sizes range from 1/ 8" upwards and a large range of
square and rectangle sizes are available from stock. Discs, rings and plates can also be produced to order. |
