Material:
Mallory 328
Type:
Chromium, Zirconium, Copper.
Description:
Precipitation hardened (age hardenable) copper alloy with moderate strength and hardness and good electrical and thermal properties.
Applications:
Mallory 328 is the primary resistance welding electrode material.  Its versatility makes it an ideal choice for many different applications and has been adopted throughout Europe as a replacement for the superseded Mallory 3.
It can be made into electrodes, caps, wheels and rings and is used to weld all parent materials, aluminum and its alloys, mild steel and particularly coated steels.
Other applications include:
1.                   Structural parts for welding machines.
2.                   Rotor bars and end rigs for electrical motors and generators.
3.                   Soldering iron tips.
4.                   Plasma gun nozzles.
5.                   M.I.G. welding tips.
