Material: |
Mallory
328 |
Type: |
Chromium,
Zirconium, Copper. |
Description: |
Precipitation
hardened (age hardenable) copper alloy with moderate strength and hardness
and good electrical and thermal properties. |
Applications: |
Mallory
328 is the primary resistance welding electrode material.
Its versatility makes it an ideal choice for many different applications
and has been adopted throughout Europe as a replacement for the superseded
Mallory 3. |
It
can be made into electrodes, caps, wheels and rings and is used to weld
all parent materials, aluminum and its alloys, mild steel and particularly
coated steels. |
|
Other
applications include: |
|
1.
Structural parts for
welding machines. |
|
2.
Rotor bars and end
rigs for electrical motors and generators. |
|
3.
Soldering iron tips. |
|
4.
Plasma gun nozzles. |
|
5.
M.I.G. welding tips. |
